The Princess Juliana International Airport Operating Company (PJIAE N.V.), in close collaboration with the Ministry of Justice’s Immigration and Border Protection Services (IBPS) and the Department of Statistics, proudly announces a marked increase in inbound passenger traffic for the first quarter of 2025, along with a major milestone in the automation of immigration data collection.

The average Consumer Price Index (CPI) for 2024 stood at 113.91, up from 109.94 in 2023. This reflects a 3.97-point increase, representing an annual Inflation Rate of 3.61%, indicating moderate but steady price growth throughout the year.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the third quarter of 2024 has risen to 113.82, reflecting a 0.30% increase compared to the previous quarter. More strikingly, when comparing the third quarter of 2024 to the same period in 2023, consumer prices have surged by 4.01%, underscoring the ongoing inflationary pressures affecting the economy.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased in the second quarter of 2024 to 113.49, which represented an increase of 0.16% when compared to the previous quarter. Additionally, when comparing consumer prices in second quarter of 2023 to the second quarter of 2024 the results show a notable increase of 4.41%.
