When comparing average consumer prices over a twelve month period (August 2015 to August 2016), a decrease of 129.6 percent was recorded compared to the same period one year earlier. The current level of deflation (-0.3%) is comparable to that recorded in January 1986 (-0.3%).

The Consumer Price Index for Sint Maarten has increased in the month of June 2016 by 0.8 percent compared to that of April 2016.

When comparing average consumer prices over a twelve month period (June 2015 to June 2016), a decrease of 125 percent was recorded compared to the same period one year earlier. The current level of deflation (-0.3%) is comparable to that recorded in January 1986(-0.3%).

When comparing average consumer prices over a twelve month period (April 2015 to April 2016), a decrease of 113.3 percent was recorded compared to the same period one year earlier. The current level of deflation (-0.2%) is comparable to that recorded in January 1986 (-0.3%).

The Consumer Price Index for Sint Maarten has decreased in the month of February 2016 by 0.2 percent compared to December 2015.

When comparing average consumer prices over a twelve month period (Feb. 2015 to Feb. 2016), a decrease of 0.1 percent was recorded compared to the same period one year earlier. This is the first time that deflation was recorded on Sint Maarten since February 1986.
