Landsverordening (AB 2015, GT no. 9)
Rules on obtaining statistical data. Sets out how the Department may obtain statistical data, who is obliged to supply it, and the confidentiality that protects every response.
The national legislation that gives STAT its mandate — to collect, protect and publish the official statistics of St. Maarten. Every act on this page is available to read and download in full.
STAT does not gather data by convention — it does so under law. The acts below set out what the Department may ask of households and businesses, the duty to answer, and the strict confidentiality owed in return: information given to STAT is used for statistical purposes only, and is never released in a form that identifies a person or a company.
The same legislation obliges the Department to publish. Making these texts openly available is part of that obligation — anyone can verify the authority behind a figure we release.
Published in the Afkondigingsblad (AB) of St. Maarten. The official texts are in Dutch; English titles are given for reference.
